Payments
CHIC Hair Studio Boca Raton offers a wide variety of payment options, accepting Cash, Zelle, Apple Pay, Debit Cards and all major Credit Cards. You may leave a gratuity for your stylist and/or shampoo assistant with any payment method, or in cash, or you may Zelle your stylist and shampoo assistant the gratuity directly. Processing fees are very high, and as a small business, we always appreciate both service and gratuity payments via Zelle or in Cash.
As of October 1, 2024, we no longer accept checks for new client accounts, or for any payment over $60. For checks returned with insufficient funds, we will charge a returned check fee, and legally pursue payment. Please note Florida Statute 832.05 If the check amount was under $150, the crime is a first-degree misdemeanor which is punishable up to 365 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. If the value is $150 or more, the crime is a third-degree felony which is punishable for up to 5 years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Cancellations and Late Arrivals Policy & Procedure
If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment we require a minimum of 48 hours notice. This notice must be left with our receptionist at 561-617-1373, or voicemail after hours. Cancellations done via text, email, social media, etc. are not valid. Cancellations less than 48 hours before appointment period may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service cost. Cancellations that are less than 24 hours may incur a 100% percent cancellation fee. Our stylists have set this time aside for you specifically, have probably turned down other appointment opportunities, and are independent contractors who make their living from each booked service. We trust that you understand the importance of respecting their time and their financial obligations. We understand that “life happens” Special circumstances like illness and family emergencies are unavoidable and cancellation may be necessary. If you have a true unavoidable situation/emergency, please ask receptionist ask to speak with one of the owners at 561-617-1373.
If you are ill and contagious, please cancel your appointment as soon as you are diagnosed. Courtesy to our fellow customers and to our stylists is appreciated. We reserve the right to cancel your appointment if you show up with an illness that may be contagious, with or without wearing a mask.
Late Policy
We cannot guarantee that your appointment will be available if you are more than 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment time. We reserve the right to reschedule a late appointment and charge a 50% missed appointment fee. If you have a true unavoidable emergency (not traffic or parking) please ask to speak with one of the owners by calling 561-617-1373.
If you have been a “no show” or have cancelled a previous appointment, CHIC Hair Studio Boca Raton’s scheduling software may require a 50% deposit to make a new appointment. The deposit will be applied to your service cost and will be collected when booking the appointment. This deposit is non-refundable.
Refunds and Exchanges
We take great pride in happy customers who look and feel fabulous after their service with us. If you are not fully satisfied with your haircut, color, highlighting, smoothing/straightening or hair treatment service and wish to have an adjustment, you must contact CHIC Hair Studio Boca Raton within three days of the initial appointment, by telephone and request to speak with an owner at 561-617-1373, to have the service corrected. We always appreciate inspiration photos, so we can fully understand your desired goals. For hair extensions, hair filler service for thinning hair, or non-surgical hair replacement and topper clients, we offer a complimentary checkup within 10 days of installation. Please read your aftercare & maintenance warranty contract or call 561-617-1373 and ask for one of the owners. We are always here to answer questions and help guide you through proper maintenance. CHIC Hair Studio Boca Raton DOES NOT offer refunds for services or products.
Pet Policy
We personally love animals at CHIC Hair Studio Boca Raton, but need to let you know that per the Department of Business & Professional Regulation, and the Florida Board of Cosmetology, no animals, except for SERVICE ANIMALS, are allowed in hair salons.
Emotional Support Animals are NOT considered Service Animals by these governing bodies.
Florida Administrative Code Rule 61G5-20.002 states:
Animals: No animals or pets shall be allowed in a hair salon, with the exception of service animals, and fish kept in closed aquariums. We at CHIC Hair Studio understand the loving and emotional ties between humans and their pets, and we personally enjoy the happiness they bring. The current regulation does not make exceptions for emotional support animals, nor does the ADA. Per the Americans with Disability Act:
Service animals are, for example:
Dogs trained to perform a specific task directly related to a person’s vision, hearing, or physical disabilities, such as dogs that are trained to predict the onset of an epileptic seizure, dogs that sense that an anxiety attack is about to happen and are trained to take a specific action to help avoid the attack or lessen its impact. A person whose dog is trained to perform a specific task to remind them to take medication, a person with PTSD and a dog is trained to lick the hand to alert them to an oncoming panic attack, A person who is in a wheelchair may have a dog who is trained to retrieve objects for them, etc. This is not a complete list of examples of service animals, so please visit www.ADA.gov for further descriptions and examples of SERVICE ANIMALS.
Even though Service Animals are permitted in hair salons, they can be asked to leave if they are not housebroken or cannot be kept under control.
If you need to bring a Service Animal to the salon, please let us know when booking your appointment. Please arrive 5 minutes early to fill out and sign the service animal form at reception.
GIFT CARDS
CHIC Hair Studio Boca Raton is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards Gift cards are not transferable, may not be returned, may not be redeemed for cash or used to purchase another gift card. Service prices are subject to change.
Children Under 13
At CHIC Hair Studio Boca Raton, we strive to create a relaxing and luxurious experience. Many of our guests are also parents and look forward to well-deserved personal beauty time. With that in mind, we request that children under the age of 13 be brought into the salon only when they have an appointment. Please make childcare arrangements in advance and come indulge in your own personal beauty experience.
Substance Misuse
Please do not arrive to your appointment under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You will be asked to leave and will be charged a 100% missed appointment fee.
Smile…You’re on Camera!
CHIC Hair Studio Boca Raton has security cameras and recording devices in use. You are hereby notified that you and your service may be recorded.
Photos, Videos & Images
From time to time, ownership, salon staff and/or stylists, and even other clients, will photograph and/or record images of before, during, and after hair processes, for personal use or for advertising/marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be recorded, you need to notify us and sign a form with reception. If you do not notify us, you have granted the right to use your image, even if it is in the background, for any purpose and forum worldwide, including but not limited to websites, google and other search engines, social media, television, etc.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
Price is Subject to Change if Additional Services are Required or Requested
We will always quote a “starting at” price and not a final cost, due to changes or conditions in your services. Our Stylists will review any changes to pricing if any are needed.
