Jennifer Maraia was raised in the beauty industry, with deep roots in her family’s salon and barbershop, which operated for over 80 years in Frankfurt, Germany. From an early age, she worked alongside her relatives, gaining firsthand experience in artistry, work ethic, and the business of building a thriving salon. Surrounded by talented stylists from across Europe and the Middle East, Jennifer developed an appreciation for excellence, teamwork, and creating meaningful client experiences.
“Our salon was truly a family,” she recalls. “Multiple generations worked side by side, and we even cooked lunch together most afternoons. That sense of connection and care shaped my vision for what a salon could be.” Today, she strives to recreate that same supportive, welcoming culture at CHIC Hair Studio Boca Raton—a place where team members and clients alike feel valued and inspired.
After moving to the United States, Jennifer discovered her passion for blending creativity with business. She graduated on the Dean’s List from Emerson College in Boston, where she studied Broadcast Journalism and Film and Television Production. Her early career took her into the entertainment industry, where she worked as a casting director and producer on television commercials and independent films before relocating to Los Angeles.
During her 12+ years in Hollywood, Jennifer founded and operated a film production and literary management company, developing screenplays and television pilots with such celebrities as Dustin Hoffman, Stan Lee (Marvel Comics), Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson’s Cosmic Entertainment, Minnie Driver, etc. Along the way, she expanded her entrepreneurial reach with partnerships into industries such as luxury yacht building and refitting in USA, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East ( 1996-present), a global telecommunications company, and 20 years of residential and multi-unit residential real estate in California and Florida, with experience spanning from Beverly Hills to Boca Raton.
Ultimately, Jennifer returned to her roots in the beauty industry, bringing with her a refined vision: to create a salon defined by exceptional customer service, advanced technical expertise, and a luxurious, relaxing atmosphere that maximizes the transformative effect of self-care and beauty as a pathway to emotional wellbeing and self-confidence. Over the past three years, that vision has become a reality.
She credits much of the salon’s success to her husband and business partner, Robert, whose behind-the-scenes work has helped build a true sanctuary for clients. “We’ve created a place where people can relax, trust the process, and leave not only looking amazing but feeling confident and empowered,” she says.
